I start college this week!
um...i'm kinda freaking out. I'm 29. Going to college for the first time. I was at the orientation toady and if I hadn't run into a friend of mine from my former job at the Virgin Megastore I would have been miserable. He is closer to my age than the 17-18 year olds and their parents that attended the orientation. I felt really weird. AND they did this whole hour long presentation on drinking responsibly! ugh...It was almost embarrasing being there. So Lee (thats my friend from Virgin) and I hung around together ALL DAY and just critisized everything. We both felt a bit out of place. And then we left early...hehe...snuck out before the "Safety and Security on Campus" presentation and "Farewell Families" segment. obviously my mother was NOT there to send off! ugh! I hope this isn't how I'm going to feel regularly.
So...now that the venting is over I am going to be a little positive. I AM GOING BACK TO SCHOOL!!!! And art school even!! I am so stoked I can hardly wait! Classes start Thursday and I have to go set my schedule tomorrow and I am totally going to kick ass in my classes. I can't wait to have the push to be creative that will be surroundly me constantly! It is going to be one of the best things I ever did...Even if we are going to go broke doing it! Damn art school is expensive!
UPDATE!
I just did my scheduling today and I'm taking 16.5 crdits hours!! I'm gonna kill myself! between school and trying to keep up on eBay to PAY for school I may not be able to cope! I guess we'll see. I'm gonna look on hte positive side. View this as a motivator of bigger things. yeah!
