WOW.
go see 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' if you've not already. best film i've seen since 'adaptation'. i'm spotting a theme...
i live for films/music/books/etc that touch all points of the emotional spectrum as a natural part of the story - that lifts you up out of yourself if even for a little while. and even more, i love going back to a great curry house to talk about it after with one of my closest friends, and the 'top ten books' conversations that come with. my favourite books are down the left there, but the one that i'm partcularly brooding on tonight is t.h.white's 'once and future king', without a doubt the most awe-inspiring treatment of the arthurian cycles anywhere. not just a beautiful novel that moves me to tears, but a formidable piece of scholarship in its own right. my god, im a geek, hehe.
other great thing about today - our local has art by up and coming artists on the walls changing on a regular basis, and at the moment it's erotica, muhahahaaaa. luuuverly ladies in various states of undress, or in one instance buff naked and playing with themselves. quite a thing to see almost-lifesize on the wall of a boozer.
anyhoo, that's the life of i in microcosm - catch y'all some time soon!
___________.
Good Things:
