The Golden Age of Grotesque has come to town and left a trail of...well...not much waste behind it.
I think that tonights Marilyn Manson gig at Brixton Academy had possibly the most tame and tranquil crowd ever. I was actually up for a bit of a jigger ("to make all you Ladies and Gentlemen") and I made my way to the front (with veritable ease) and when I got there...nothing was happening. Every body was just standing there (Ok, some were singing along and there was the ocassional middle finger raised but other than that...nothing).
The band were good. New boy Tim Skold seemed quite at home on stage with them already. It was no where near as destructive as I had hoped (I wanted a piece of broken guitar/drum stick/plectrum) but the stage was kept clear of debris by two strangely efficient gentlemen. Oh well.
I hope anyone who went enjoyed it, I think I did.
