**************Deep Space log- 3rd Entry**************

It has been a week since the attack on my ship. I can not remember much- probably a result of a minor concussion. (The nasty bruise on my head still serves as a painful reminder to that horrid day.)
I shall attempt to recall the details of January 10th 2,379 through this log-The act of writing does help in evoking hidden memories.

I left HQ on the morning of the 7th- my mission was to deliver heavy machinery to our new base on H27x.
It was a longer route then my usual 3 day jump to the Juubar system- being on the outskirts of our charted regions- yet it presented no promise of excitement whatsoever.
A routine mission for a retired fighter pilot.

First 3 days were uneventful- some gremlins in the hyperdrive unit, but nothing I couldnt handle.

On the morning of the 10th was the first sign of trouble- my scanner was down for 27 minutes. When it came back on I could have sworn I saw something, seemed like a vessel of some sort, but not ours- thats for sure. It was not moving in the same way as our star liners- it was much faster, and seemed to have changed its location in an instant, as if disappearing and reappearing again in a completely different place.
The whole thing lasted about 4 seconds.

I did not report this to HQ.

Flyers who had done so in the past are now waving imaginary flys away from their face, heavily sedated, sitting in small padded rooms.

The rest of the day was uneventful until late in the afternoon- approximately 16:30.
Without any alarm or indication on my scanner, the ship was hit with tremendous force. It was not a torpedo missile- I know their effect well enough.
I hit my head on the control board once and fell back. Through bloody eyes I struggled back to my feet, realizing that a complete power shut down just took place. I managed to isolate the bridge and to initiate emergency sequence- turning on all auxiliary systems, and securing my cargo bay before passing out.

I woke up the next day to find myself lying on the floor- in one piece (more or less), but completely devoid of any data as to my whereabouts.

I am holding my suspicions for now, as I have practically no information which will shed some light on this mysterious attack.
My attempts at communicating HQ proved futile.
The auxiliary scanner indicates a solar system ahead- and though I can not make out if its inhabited, I have set course forward, seeing no other option.
