In a recent conversation with Novy, I mentioned a little mental game I like to play.
I look at a person and try to fit him/her with the perfect martial art. Its very important to find the correct path- one that will be harmonious to their natural pulse and will complement their character.


So- here are the results- take them with a grain of salt as some of the choices are based on gut feeling, and let us not forget Ive met none of you yet


1. dkmfc- Western style boxing. Highly unrated martial art- theres lots more thought in it then youd think.

2. baka- kenjutsu/iaijutsu- the art of sword play and quickdraw.

3. SoEffinHappy Preying Mantis style Kung Fu- he trains in Karate now, but I think he deserves something little bit deeper.

4. squiggle Wu-Shu Kung Fu. One of the most esthetic martial arts ever created. Famous practitioner- Jet Li. I particularly recommend her to master the long chain- i believe it is called- Tzin and is considered a female weapon.

5. Starisea She strikes me as a true hippy, which is why Is recommend the peaceful (yet highly effective) styles- Aikido/Tai Chi

6. Suprpkl based on recent journal entries I have no doubt what this guy needs- Brazilian Ju Jitsu.

7. Abbadon- This guys affinity for drinking and smoking would go great with the only Irish originated martial art of- FokYu!!! wink

8. Sylvan weve only just met, but Id go ahead and guess- Shaolin Nam Pai.

9. turtleeg604/DebraJean/mrsarcasm/Citrus Tugakure-Riu Ninpo Taijutsu. (Ninjutsu)

10. vastad Escrima- Filipino style staff/knife fighting style.

11. NOIR Judo.

12. Novy Rat Style Kung Fu. A darker style, not too pretty to look at but one of the deadliest forms of Kung Fu. Ive sparred once against a practitioner, and found it very hard to penetrate his line of defense.

And were left with the three I cant find anything for-
PMVirgin, twasbrillig and RickRoyal. Well- we need some lovers in this world, not just fighters

thats interesting... after our most recent conversations i looked up schools close to me and 'if' i were to choose any of the ones around here it would be a toss up between a seibukan aikido school, and To Shin Do school where after acheiving an upper level belt you can practice traditional Bujinkan. seems that the instructor there is 4th generation from Toshitsugu Takamatsu. might be worth looking into for me, but then agin maybe it'll be more worth while if i get into better shape first.

as far as your choice in style for me? thank you for such a compliment, i will try to honor it.

You know, I actually think that's the best choice for me. I'm more a lover anyway. Or a philosopher. Hmm.
