it has granola stuck in it, tahini stains, rice, extra strong jalapeno salsa, bread crumbs, lettuce... it's a pretty healthy combination.
why would anyone prefer to eat away from their computer? you could enjoy so much useful information while you eat! not to mention flash shorts and free porn!

so- last night's gig went ok- i didn't have my usual players, so i had to use a different combo- it was jazzier which i didn't care for, but very tight.
then- get this- we got stiffed on the payment!
WE FUCKING DO THIS FOR A LIVING YO!
ok- i have no illusions that an instrumental deep funk/dub/breakbeat group will start out by making minimum session fee ($100 a head) but for fucksake- could you at least cover our cab rides?!?
i ended up having to cover that.
that's ok though- this is why I get to make the decisions in this band.
i don't care much for democracy, unless- for some reason i'm devoid of absolute control.
i do love my players though
they work real hard for me and they're making my dream sound come true.

why do women love drama so much? it's definitely beyond me.
i used to be affected by it- i'd get all guilty about making someone mad or upset and do everything i can to correct it, even though whatever it was wasn't necessarily my fault...
so a few weeks ago, this ex-semi-girlfriend emails with an invitation to friendster and an email saying somethin' like- 'maybe we can get together, totally platonic, we've passed the tension thing, i'm actually seeing someone, blah blah blah...'
so i thought- why not? it would be somewhat of a novelty being able to communicate without the sexual tension in the air- might even be fun!
so we met- had a nice time, but there was definitely tension- on her side- which got worst when i casually asked her about her current boyfriend.
to make a long story short- i didn't really feel the whole thing, and when she didn't show up for my gig 2 nights later like she said she would i kinda assumed that it probably wasn't that interesting for her either...
so then a week ago i get a short angry email stating that i'm off friendster (yeah- boo fuckin' hoo) ,that i should take her name off my mailing list, and that 'there's no need to reply to this email'
whatever man- what's with the fucking drama ay? does any of this matters?
no tell me- does it?
in the great scheme of things-
do you matter?
do i?
the petty little stuff that's happening in our lives- does it matter?
don't read this as a blues jam- i actually think it does matter, but on a more conceptual level. it's probably my affinity to zen, but seriously- most of our actions have no meaning.
think about it- how many of your actions, thoughts or emotions actually have anything to do with the situation they're relating to?
are you responding to what's actually happening or to past experiences/patterns/traumas?
are you living a real life or one that's rooted in illusion? (memories from the past, plans for the future, all kinds of assumptions as to what someone might have meant when they said that thing after you said the other thing and would they still think you were cool, etc...)
you can see great examples to this concept in this site.
the need to be accepted here seems to overpower everything else.
i see people's comments, entries, threads, pictures...
it's a big pile of ego trip, and by the way- self deprecation is (to me at least) a form of an ego trip.
you can take your ego to a trip going one direction or the other- both are equally self involved, hedonistic, childish- and based in fear.

lola is cool- she's the only person in this continent who is allowed to cut my hair.
i hate having my hair cut, even more then i hate shopping for clothes.
the waste of time and money which could have been used for getting music gear and for practicing, is driving me crazy.
but lola makes it ok.
she would have made a fine model for this site. she's trim, tanned, fucking gorgeous, funny, crazy, has a hugh tattoo on her back of a mermaid and her mother took her recently to see marylin manson.

I don't buy much mucic. Sheet music I check out of the library at school, and then photocopy for free in the office in my dept. Recorded music I usually borrow from people and burn. (Uh-oh! Now the FEDs are gonna know!). I'm simply to cheap to spend mush money on anything (except good food).
But don't be depressed. Most of the poor schmucks in this world never even do what they want for a day, let alone get paid some for it.
