This joke may be a little old for some but I thought it was funny smile

For all of those who miss those great old tunes from the 60s and 70s, there's good news! Some of your old favorites have re-released their great hits with new lyrics to accommodate maturing audiences:

-- Bobby Darin - "Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' a Flash"

-- Herman's Hermits -...

I am not saying you shouldn't diet.

A Club Med survey found that couples who dieted while on vacation argued three times more often than those who didn't, and that those who didn't diet had three times as many romantic interludes.

I would think that after you hooked that special someone, dieting should no longer be an issue other than for health. Most healthy diets are well balanced and provide an energy boost (also heating up sexual desire). So my hypothesis is that these arguing couples were miserable because they hated the sight of eachother and were on a crash diet -not to meantion the f@$kers had money to burn hanging out a club med while whining about the atkins diet. If YOU have to bitch while on vacation, don't leave your house.

Then again you are wise enough to know this, I'm just venting about rich people and their petty disagreements.

Hey Grizz I just wanted you to know, that you are absolutely f@#king fabulous. Thanks for your daily insights

how did it go today?

Intersting fact:

Texas is the only state that permits residents to cast absentee ballots from space. The first to exercise this right to vote while in orbit was astronaut David Wolf, who cast his vote for Houston mayor via e-mail from the Russian space station Mir in November 1997.

Those texans are always on the cutting edge I tell you.

Doctors and MRI's are words you never want to hear come from your friends...what happened?
josephene:
You need to be specific when you're wishing for a hot physical therapist, unless you would like some hottie by the name of Brad twisting up your body. Either way, I sure hope this helps with the problem. Keep us updated. Seriously, if it is some hot guy named Brad, I don't think I'll ever stop laughing. *giggle*

Witty Olympics...sure, come on and compete...I'm feeling very confident after my accomplishments against these boys. I will always fall in second compared to my cousin, he's amazing with the zingers. Great stomach exercises, laughing all night, burning off the Budweiser.

I think I've been exposed to too much testosterone this weekend... biggrin

Today was a historic date for aviation on this day

For the ladies:

1932 - Amelia Earhart took off from Newfoundland for Ireland to became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic.

For the men

1927 - Lucky Lindbergh took off from Roosevelt Field in New York aboard the small airplane "Spirit of St. Louis", en route to Paris, France. Thirty-three and one-half...

The restraining order is for the property. Since one of the former residents told me she was "going to crack my jaw, psycho cracker bitch," I've stayed away from the people voluntary. blackeyed

There must be some sort of city or county law about leaving animals on property that you still own but have vacated. I will call animal control -- thanks for the good advice.

And thanks for cheering me up with your nice comment! kiss

Fun fact

Today in 1955 - The New York Supreme Court authorized the revival of burlesque shows in New York City after an 18-year ban.

I thought this was very fitting for this site. have a great hump day everybody.

1) There's this one that pops up now and then, and it's in my profile under my 'most humbling moment', but I think that I would have to go with my Father's rose garden in our first home. He made a maze-like pattern in the back yard, and the smell was overwhelmingly fragrant. There was a bird bath right in the middle, and I remember watching the birds drink out of it in the hot summer days. There are pictures of me standing in the middle of the garden, wearing a little pink dress. I remember it being SO large - the garden - but looking back at the photos, it wasn't that big at all. It just goes to show how big the world seems when you're small. wink

2) My Cabbage Patch doll. I loved to smell her hair. She had blonde pigtails made of yarn. I miss her. frown

3) Oh, yeah. I went to lots of summer camps, but I loved every one of 'em. (It'll be our little secret, but I even went to Band Camp...hehe). My favorite would have to have been H.O.P.E. It was an environmental awareness camp that was on Whidbey Island. I can't remember what it stood for, but it was an amazing camp! I did some serious soul searching at that camp, and I broke through some difficulties that I had to face growing up, such as dealing with an alcoholic father and a bipolar brother. We were there for a week at a time, and I met some really awesome people. I was really into the G.R.E.A.N. club, and stuff like that growing up.

4) My family lives in South Carolina, so growing up I always flew from Seattle to visit them every summer. I remember the summer that Hurricane Hugo hit, and I was there!! eeek I was only 9 or 10, and I was sitting in a wading pool, you know the blow up kind...I know, those are for little kids. How stupid do you think I felt?!? Anyway, it was like 110 degrees outside, and the sky was blue, and all of a sudden, everything turned black, and the wind started to blow. I looked off in the distance, and there was this funnel-looking thing forming in the sky, and it was touching the ground. I'd heard of Hurricanes before, but I'd never been in one. I think I wet myself in that wading pool, and I went running and screaming back into the house. I never sat in a wading pool again after that...I was afraid of getting struck by lightning. biggrin

5) I would have to go with my Father because he was my inspiration. He helped mold me into the woman I am today. It was difficult growing up with him, and it wasn't until a year before he died that I was able to really get to know him, but he has had the most profound impact on my life to date, and I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for him. wink Luv ya, dad. kiss
