I spent my Saturday at NYC's Planned Parenthood Rally.
Bikini Kill was the first punk show I ever went to. It's still the best one i ever went to. I didn't realize that I had Planned Parenthood to thank.
Kathleen spoke about how she couldn't afford antibiotics on tour at a regular ER, but Planned Parenthood came through for $12. Their help let her finish her tour without having to be hospitalized.
(I teared-up at this point.I'd have never seen one of my favorite bands if it weren't for Planned Parenthood.
I just got to thinking about all the good they do and all the lives they put on track.)
