Nothing to exciting going on. No big surprise there. I've found myself a downloading fiend of late. I'm usually somewhat into anime but it's not something I watch consistently. I go in phases. However with the power of the internet I've recently found myself distracted with several animes. Finally got around to watching Death Note. It's pretty dam good....has a lot of intellect in it. I like that. I also downloaded FLCL just because I fuckin' love that anime. I found some anime's that looked interested but I haven't had a chance to watch them yet. I also found one called Gantz, one called Serial Experiments - Lain: Navi, one called Elfen Lied, and one called Berserk. We'll see how I like them.

Beautiful thing about downloading is if you don't like it you can delete it and if you really really like it you can buy it. Which is why I think pirating should legally be handled like roms and emulators which are completely legal to download and use as long as you don't keep them after like 24 or 48 hours. On the other hand unless they search your computer it's not like they'd know whether or not you still had it and thus the problem Is suppose would not be eliminated. Although realistically even with pirating I've heard (although I don't know) that many the entertainment industry has not suffered much loss in profits because a lot of people are like myself in theory. They download things to use as a preview or they download things to keep that they wouldn't normally buy anyway. Thus the entertainment industry isn't losing money most the time because a lot of people will either be not buying the same things they wouldn't be buying anyway or they are still buying the same things they probably would have anyway; they're just previewing first to make sure they wanted it.
reptilia:
Death Note is a great series. I caught it on Hulu several months ago and watched almost all of it back to back. I was a little disappointed with the ending (only in the sense that who I was rooting for didn't prevail), but overall it ranks high on my list.

I've seen the first two volumes of Lain, but it's been a long time. It's one of those mindfuck animes, in that you really don't have any idea of what's really going on, at least from the little I've seen of it. I did enjoy Neia Under 7 from the same people that made Lain (that may not be spelled right). Although, I do suggest if you check it out, go with subtitles, as the dubbing job was atrocious. It's more comedy-oriented than Lain, but I think a lot of it caters to a similar audience.
