James Doohan, the actor that played Engineer 'Scotty' in the TV show 'Star Trek' died early this morning. Yeah, Im a big fucking nerd and HUGE fan of Trek, so Im a bit bummed this morning.

You can check out the article about his death (and life) here.

I saw your list of concerts in the SG philly group and was wondering if you hit up the NY Dolls show? I am going to see them out this way next month and wondered how the shows have been going so far. There's so many good shows that I've skipped that I can't let this one slip through my fingers. I missed Iggy in concert over a year ago and the same with Patti Smith.

I actually made it to the Dinosaur Jr. show last night at the Electric Factory. The drunken stupor I was in did nothing to abate that, thankfully. The show itself was so-so...the sound was extremely bad, and the sight lines were cheesy. At least until I moved off of the balcony to the floor. But then the sound was even WORSE down there. Oi fucking...

My silly ass pulled a drunken all-nighter. Now, Im working on 4 hours sleep, and I have to go to work in under two hours.

Two things I learned, however:

1). French Toast at 6AM isnt necessarily a bad thing

2.) Watching the sun come up on my roofdeck isnt as terrible as I once imagined.

The boy is paying for it. And I mean, the cost isn't the much if you pay for a few months at a time. It only costs alot when you pay month to month.

Its been fun so far.

And I mean, look at it compared to a over the top beer tab...doesn't look like that much compared to that.

How have you been besides drunk?
teena:
ooo sounds like a fun night!

are you going to Dinosaur Jr tomorrow???? Seanie and I are. I can't fucking wait. ARRR!!!

Bombing innocent hardworking civilians on their way to work. What a way to say, 'Look at Me! Im an incredible asshole!'. Fucking unbelievable...and the innocent members of the arab/muslim community in England will most likely face the wrath of certain Brits with misplaced anger. All of it makes me ill...

Live8...it didnt go so bad as I/we anticipated. The 'backstage' area probably was the best gig, seeing as a majority of my job was to record the world feeds, podium shots, and track down the errant superstar if they happened to wander down our way. Although, it really wasnt 'Backstage' to be honest. More like a hastily contructed tent BEHIND the backstage that was bloody...

Right. I just found out that I'll be working backstage for Live8. What that means or entails, I've no clue. And I doubt the news managers at my fucked TV station know what the score is, either. I just know that I'm brining my digital camera with me for the fuck of it. Maybe I'll sweep Sarah McLauchlin off of her feet. She's still smoking...

Soooo...Live8 is coming to our little town of Brotherly Love. And what a nightmare it's going to be! We're talking 1 million PLUS in my neighborhood. That's right, right smack dab in the section of Philly that I live in! Parking will be a mess before/during/after the event, traffic will be snarled, and it seems that city officials really arent looking at the event as...

That's the section of the city I work. We are avoiding the whole section this weekend. It seems that your mayor worries more aboutt making money then the residents.

4th of July always brings the freakjobs out of the woodwork.....i hate 4th of July. Its gross. I plan on skipping the holiday by doing like 10 loads of laundry. I need to anyway.

As far as the question i asked in my journal, i wasn't talking to you....you actually do reply to my journals and stuff. I'm talking about the people who asked me to be their friends and then never say another word after that. You are awesome. Some people on here i just thought were interesting and awesome, but it seems like there isn't enough time for them to comment or something. I just want to delete those people from my friendslist to avoid wasting the time of reading their journals since i know they never read mine or respond to my comments. My, i sound harsh here. I just don't want to waste as much time on the computer anymore, so i will only use my time for people who are important to me. You are one of those people! biggrin Hence why you are on my friendslist.

Three Camden kids found suffocated in the back of a cars' trunk, right outside the home they went missing from. Not the picture perfect weekend for me...

Yesterday, I had the unforntunate task of covering the Philly BIO-convention protests. I use the word 'unfortunate' because there were more ingnorant and close minded people there then i've seen at a protest in quite some time.

You see, a Philly Civil Affairs Police Officer died of an apparent heart-attack while working at the height of the protest/rally. My news station reported that incident pretty...

Yeah, I read about him in the papers. Such a shame.

I know what you mean about the protesters. I feel the same way you do about them. I seriously considered walking over there with a poster that read "Stay off my side". But then I realized I had a million things to do to get ready for next week's move.

2AM and I just finished packing the 3rd floor. blackeyed

As most of you know, I work on the weekends. So, I miss all of the goodness that most of you punk-asses take for granted. Soooo...my 'days off' fell on Thurs/Fri. This time around, I cleaned up my dirty house, helped move in my new roomate (who isnt a pain in the ass like the last one) and checked out a record shop in Haddonfield,...
