Hrmmmm...I've been thinking about The Amazing (Royal) Crowns as of late. Cant find my CD's in my tornado struck room, however. Here's some tasty lyrics for you though:
Halos & Horns
I never followed - the straight path -
I never saw much sense in that
A boring life - a boring death -
and to this day I haven't lived yet
I always liked sinners more than saints - they try to save our soul -
it's too late
I can't deny that I'm headed down -
I can't deny that I'm hellbound
We've got halos above these horns!
Say it once! You've been warned
We've been judged since we've been born!
We've got halos above these horns!
I live fast - don't look behind -
I make my peace in my own time
It may be reckless but it's my choice - no one should die before they make a noise
I always liked sinners more than saints - they try to save our soul -
it's too late
I can't deny that I'm headed down -
I can't deny that I'm hellbound
We've got halos above these horns!
Say it once!
You've been warned
We've been judged since we've been born!
We've got halos above these horns!
It's hard to see the good inside -
when it's the evil that I can't hide
I'd never preach or tell you what to do - the path you follow is the one for you
I always liked sinners more than saints - they try to save our soul -
it's too late
I can't deny that I'm headed down -
I can't deny that I'm hellbound
We've got halos above these horns!
Say it once!
You've been warned
We've been judged since we've been born!
We've got halos above these horns!
Good or evil - halos or horns - say it!
Good or evil - halos or horns - say it!
Good or evil - halos or horns - say it!
Good or evil - halos or horns !
Probably not the BEST song for Easter...but its fun anyway.
Lets see...tough weekend. Or should I say rough weekend? Friday night I ended up at the 'new' Pontiac Grille on South Street to catch up with
The Star Spangles. It could have been a better gig, I have to say. The lead singer was drunk off of his ass and just not into it. The rest of the band kept up appearances and rocked out. It wasnt bad, dont get me wrong....it just wasnt spectacular. I guess they were pissed off that the HUGE crowd that was there for the other three bands dwindled down...not a surprise, since they were made up of friends and families of the bands themselves. As for the Pontiac, dont be fooled by the downstairs bistro idiocy. The upstairs portion has actually been 'deconstructed'....they tore down all of the nice stuff they had built up on these past couple of years. Now, it reminds me of Upstairs at Nicks, and even slightly like the old downstairs Pontiac/Dobbs atmosphere. Cool place to see gigs...Ill be back.
Friday night was also made into a good action since I got to me the most cool Potcheen. Apparantly he took my SGPhilly advice on catching the Spangles gig and seemed to enjoy the bands. See, I dont lie! Anyway, I look forward to many a boozing night with Mr. Irish Moonshine in the near future.
Saturday went off without a hitch. Met up with some friends to attend an Asian 'horror' film known as The Park. Supposedly shot in 3-D the film was supposed to be a hoot. It wasnt. More like a crap fest. the 3-D was useless, and only came up during portions of the film. The plot was contrived, the acting mediocre, and the scares minimal. Ugh....afterwards, me and Rob headed to the 8th annual Splity Thy Skull Barleywine Ale Fest at S-Mom's. Lots of cute ladies around, but no joy for Mr. Grimjack. I did drink a shitload of high octane ale though. My head is still aching...first drinking i've done in 3 weeks, but was well worth it.
Closed of the night with some record shopping at AKA Records, and drinks at Molly's in olde city. Crappy bar, but my friend Mel runs the place...she's a little hottie and its always nice to drink up with her. One hour turned into 5 rather quickly. Rob staggered home to his wife, I chatted with a couple of girls from South America. Colombia and Peru sure do produce some pretty girls, I tells ya! Ugh...my head.

Well it was either this or become an ascetic survivalist in the mountains
. Not giving up entirely on either my current life or the whole Taoist thing, just trying to craft it to my needs.

thanks so much for your compliment
