I've come to the conclusion that Henry Rollins is the shit. Now, I knew this was a possible many moons ago when I first got the chance to experience his version of Black Flag. And my experiences with his profound wisdom and incredible intellect continued to influence me even with the Rollins Band. But, I've had the chance to re-examine some of his 'spoken word' concerts as of late thanks to Netflix. Henry is just fucking brilliant. His thoughts on relationships, the world, politics, music, and the like really jump out at me. Not to mention the guy is seriously goddamn funny. I've already ordered several of his books from his website and publishing company and I've already dug up some of my old recordings of his. The guy speaks volumes, I swear...and puts my own life into perspective.
