So where to begin… I haven’t blogged in ages can’t say I have been that busy just not to easy blogging on an iPad. So I am at my desk in the office today, here goes…
My year started well with a trip to Miami following a business trip.. I wasn’t expecting much from Miami except a beach but it was loads of fun.. will be going back for sure.. I was there for two days and the night I was there I ended up going to Mango’s on Ocean Boulevard. What a night I was wrecked, got home.
I have also just had two weeks of vacation with some friends that came up from South Africa, first time for them in London. So I ended up doing a lot of tour guide work for them showing them around the city, god that’s hard work. Plus I’ve seen all the sites before, my mate does have a large thirst so we ended up going to loads of pubs and bars.. The Grapes being my favorite, it has a wonderful view of the city.
He also works for puma so got myself some new sneakers for next to nothing. I’m not a huge football fan.. actually I don’t follow the sport at all but he took me along to the Liverpool vs Man U game that weekend in Liverpool and it was kind of fun. Massive atmosphere. Getting there was so stressful though.. the morning we left I was sure we were supposed to go to Kings Cross station.. we get there with 15 min before train departure I then realize.. shit its Euston !!! yes we ran to Euston station and made it with 3 min to spare.. I felt like such an ass, and what made it worse was the fact we had to stand all the way as the train was packed.
While in Liverpool we also purchased two paintings, nothing fancy just something we liked. The second one is called ‘Timetravel’ kind of reminds me of the underground and our lives at work just passing us by. .. to deep maybe.
Work is great and I finally made it through the 6 month probation period, and settling back into London life.
