So a quick update for those that have been reading my blog.
My brother and his wife are out of the woods, he was discharged from Kalafong hospital (they have no medical aid) last week and his wife is now stable and in the orthopedic ward. They are waiting for a specialist to set her broken femur. The rest of her injuries are not operable and must just heal over time. My brother is off to the police station today to try lay charges against the guy that hit them. I also went to look at the crash site.. its a wonder they are alive if you see it. Below is a pic of my bro in hospital... and him on arrival.
My wife is healing up well and is more and more active each day. We have another session with the neuro surgeon on the 20th and then a follow up MRI in three months to ensure the AVN was fully removed. Only the scar remains.
To top things off, I flew home on Friday to see my brother in person (really worried about him) and discovered my Grandfather went in for a stent to be fitted around his enlarged prostate. He also came out ok.
What a month. I need a holiday, anyone recommend somewhere cheap... :)
