Well, here's a first for me: I'm overqualified for the job for which I applied! I'm not happy about it.
I had notion this may happen at the inerview; they informed then that the position was less research and analysis oriented then I had been led to believe. Turns out the position was clerical - something like 1400 files had been misfiled when the department switched computer systems, and they wanted a student to sort them out this summer.
Damn, I would have done the job, but, they thought I would have found it monotonous. AAAARRRGH!
Ah well, I do have another interview today - for an actual "research" position. Damn, I hate interviews (and job hunting for that matter). I hate a tight financial situation even more, so this had better work out.
