Another cocktail I miss:

The Rob Roy aka The Scotch Manhattan Perfect:

2 jiggers of Scotch (most single malts have too much character for cocktails so use a blend. I like Dewers.

1/2 jigger of sweet vermouth

1/2 jigger of dry vermouth

The traditional garnish is a stem cherry. Sometimes I like a sweet pickled onion.

Current wieght 171 and falling.

heya grey ...glad you dig the group. I had some major reservations starting the thing along (mostly of the sort you mentioned), but then I made the leap. I suspect that missy, spooky n crew had to mull it over for a while ---seems like there was quite a wait before it was activated. As you can see from the response, I'm glad I did it ...it was something I felt wasn't talked about, but there was a need to connect with others and share our experiences ...raising kids outside the mainstream can often be daunting, if not scary. I still get a little weirded by the thoughts of freaky old felchers checking out pix of my kids, but they could just as easily be checking them out when we walk around town ...bottom line: I try not to let the fear thing dominate --the majority of people on SG are truly righteous and incredible people.

from your pic, you could pass as Tim Robbins' brother.
