It had a been a long week working at the warehouse, overtime every day and even a full double shift on Wednesday, and today, Friday they all worked till 9pm just so they wouldnt have to come in on Saturday.
Tom and Pete were spent, but were not ready to go home, the Tom to his wife and Pete to his apartment that he shared with a roommate. The bars would be full and noisy by now and they decided to split a six pack somewhere quiet to unwind before heading back to their real lives.
They drove to a bluff overlooking the town lit up beneath them. It was a warm summer evening.

No, it sucks. Everyone here is a jerk and there is nothing to do.
You just have a bad attitude about it. There is a whole little world down there, and you have to have some distance to see it. Its like were letters, and with our families we make up words, and our neighborhoods are sentences, and the months that pass make a new paragraph and the years are chapters. This town is a book.
