Happy fucking new year.

Bah.


I love all this nonsense about starting off the new year so much better than the last.
About how whatever way you celebrate it will somehow dictate how the comming year will unfold.

If thats true, well, I'm fucked.
Really fucked.

Not only did I end up working an 11 hour day starting at 7am, but I was sick as all hell to top it off. I had an awful head cold that just wouldn't let up, no matter how much medicine i took.
I ended up taking a triple dose of dayquil just to make it to work because they wouldn't let me call in sick.if that gives you any idea of just how bad I felt.

So I work my shift, finally get home and the phone calls start. After bailing on pretty much everyone I just wanted to go to sleep. I did have a date planned for the night, so I called her to let her know that I wasn't well at all & asked if maybe we could stay in, just the 2 of us for the night, instead of going to the party we had planned on attending.

Long story short, I got called an insensitive prick & she went without me. Thats right; I got to spend the last night of 08 & the first part of 09 sick & alone.
Yeah, this year is gonna be the best ever!!!

The only plus side is that it gave me an excuse to watch virtually every zombie movie I own in some sort of nyquil induced marathon.

That part, I really did enjoy.
Theres something about apocalytic movies that I find really soothing....
