I have been working my way through the Twin Peaks box set. I am about of a third of the way through and Id forgotten how great it is. I loved the series since its original airing and it has lost none of its edge and strangeness in nearly 20 years. David Lynch is one of the true cinematic visionaries. When I look back at the body of his work it has astounding significance in narrative, characterization and photography.
Few filmakers have been brave enough to consistently depict interesting, eccentric characters in their films and seek to illustrate the hidden darkness of apparently normal life. HIs films cover everything from the strangeness of life (most but especially Blue Velvet, The Straight Story, The Elephant Man, Wild At Heart), Wizard of Oz symbolism(Wild At Heart) to theoretical physics/psychology and tracendentalism (Lost Highway). Man's a genius. If you've never checked any of his stuff out I can heartily recommend it...unless of course you prefer everything to make sense LOL

Tessie's doing ok thank you. She's really confused and not particularly happy but I spoke to the diabetic nurse at the vets yesterday and she agreed we should lower her insulin for the next week and see how she is then. She's been having a lot of hypo's lately which isn't good at all. Fingers crossed, once we're in the new place (tomorrow) she'll get back into a good groove and will be a lot happier and healthier 
Diabetes needs constant routine and my life has been anything but this year; which has taken its toll on Tessie unfortunately. Still, I hope to enjoy celebrating her 16th birthday in less than a month
