the people at petsmart don't let you take home the fish the day you take home the filter. i miss the days when you just let the fish float in the bag in the water for half an hour and then you were free to let them swim in their new home for a couple of weeks until they died.

i'm really trying to get fish because i'm allergic to and also seem to kill every other kind of pet. but i'm having issues hooking up the filter. me having pets is like me cooking. it's just a bad idea.

maybe i'll focus on shoes.
