I'm getting to know the Puerto Rican half of my family pretty well. I'm actually even picking up a bit of Spanish listening to my dad and grandparents banter back and forth. My summation so far is that in order to fully appreciate the Puerto Rican way of life you have to have near infinite patience and a whole lot of time. You also have to have an insane ability to consume and enjoy food and alcohol.

I'm working on it. I've been a white boy for most of my life so it's taking a little getting used to.
