I'm procrastinating applying for a lab head position at Rutgers in New Jersey. I think this is because I do not want to move to New Jersey.
I almost started crying at work the other day. I was ringing this woman's order through the till when it hit me; I'm working retail. I'm at a job I hate, and my chances for getting into the position I've been dreaming about in Maryland have been wiped out because some bored chemist veteran guy a year and a half from retirement thought keeping bees might be "fun."
Now my options are to apply for a position in New Jersey which has a very limited appeal to me for several reasons or continue living with my parents at the age of 24.
How the fuck did I end up here?
Time to start looking for something different I guess.
