So last night I went to the Jakalope concert, super excited cause I am a big fan of the collaberation. Got in on the guest list so we were up in the VIP area, which dissaponted me at first cause I'm much more of a "in the pit" kinda girl, but we had a great view right over the stage, and when I saw how lame the "pit" was, I was quite happy with my spot
The show was great, I was really impressed that Katie sounds exactly like she does on the CD, which meas she wasnt all digitalised like sooooo many female vocalists now, I still find though that in a lot of the songs, her vocals are kind of weak, maybe it's the high voice over the heavy music, but I find she's still a little stuck in back up singer mode, and I can't wait for her to really break out!
The bassist, I fell in love with, no really, I love her, LOVE! Amazing talent, stage presence, and wikkid vocals, I would love to see her front a band. I would also love to spend hours and hours with her in bed, drinking, smoking and other fun activities one might do in bed, and on the floor, couch...counter....bath.....balcony......yea I could go on She would make an excellent SG!
