So back when i was living in Wisconsin with Tues. I met this awesome guy through SG. He became pretty close to Tues and I. We shared a deep love of all things Social Distortion and would talk almost daily, either by email or through SG. At one point he even sent me this huge collection of SD boot leg music he had collected. Over time we lost contact but never stopped thinking about him. I was even supposed to meet him back in 08 wheni was driving across country but he fell ill and it didnt end up happening. He was very sick and wasnt sure how long he was going to make it. His only wish was to get to hear a new album from Social D. Well last night i got that new album as i was listening to it for the first time, i began to cry uncontrollably. The sad part is that i am not sure if he is even still here. I hate that we lost touch. I hate missing the chance for us to hang out in person. I just want to know that he is ok. I want to know that he beat the cancer that was stealing the best years of his life. I want to believe that his able to still be the rock in his little girls life. I wish i could hear from him just one last time. I hope he lived long enough to hear the new album because it is great. Perhaps he is sitting side by side with Dennis in heaven smiling down and enjoying the music.
Either way Eric Nickles and Dimes Enders. I just wanted you to know that i miss you and i think of you often. I hope you are well where ever you are. This is for you.
