First off, your replies to my last entry were awesome...it made me giggle and i was amused
Secondly, I have been in Kenosha now for about 6 months....its a cool place I guess but it doesn't feel like home...I have whined about this before. However, today after dropping off my tax returns at the Post Ofiice i decided to explore. Kenosha is literally minutes from Lake Michigan...as I have never seen any of the great lakes I felt today was the day to check it out. I now see why is it called a great lake....mutha fucka is huge yo!!!
As I walked through the park that runs along the lake I look out and just try to take it all in...then I see a lil beach so I make tracks towards it. I walk down to the waters edge and as i find myself on the sandy shore with the crisp breeze sucking the moisture out of my lips...for a moment I am home again. Though I know it wasnt...i just sat on a rock and in my mind it felt like sitting on the beach in Bodega Bay. I really like the serenity that waves crashing into the rocks brings me....I just sat there for about a half hour just staring out at the water...listening to a lil California Dreamin on the Ipod set the mood just right.
I still miss home ...but my discovery today was nice...I can't wait to share it with Tues.

I think water in general is like that...it just calms everything. I've been to the ocean but honest to god there is a lake probably a two hour drive away from here that when the sunsets on it...everything quiets.
