What impact will it have on our Economy?

I could write on this subject for hours, as it's quite complex. I'll try to summarize my thoughts in a way that makes sense.


Our economy is a democracy, tabulated by dollar votes every day.

I think there is a fundamental flaw in your perspective on this question. You call these "American" jobs, which I think is misleading, and aids to your frustration on the subject. The reason I believe this to be a fundamental flaw in your perspective is that I see no reason why America or Americans have ownership over the jobs which are being outsourced to other countries. First of all, we have to seperate our own personal bias from the subject to see things more clearly. The purpose of a business is to make money, to create profit, and ultimately to succeed in whatever field it operates.. These goals do not take into account any moral obligations which have been placed on them by our society to place these jobs in American hands. While it is plainly obvious that this tactic of outsourcing jobs over seas benefits the business, I believe we as people would be wrong to criticize those businesses for making that choice, because they are not bound by obligations to serve us by providing us with jobs. Let me clarify that I do not agree or disagree with this tactic, but I think it's unfair to place bias against companies for taking part in this. These organizations made no claim that jobs would always be provided to Americans, and therefore they can not be persecuted for operating in the most efficient manner possible. In contrast, as the purpose of a business is to make money, they can only do so if the population which it serves patronizes them, and while these businesses cannot be blamed for their strategic decisions, society can make a conscious decisions not to support the operations of businesses that they disagree with.

As for the impact on our economy, I'm not an economist. My first guess would be that it will have little effect on our economy if people continue to support their operations.

In short, you vote for or against the operations of businesses every day with your dollar. If you choose to support a company because of its products and prices, you should hold yourself responsible for that company's practices. If you disagree with their choices, do not support them.
