SO... I've been in Montreal and at Ubisoft for 1 year now. Things with Montreal seem to be going great. Love the city and love the friends I've been making. Speaking of friends... I've been hanging out with this completely amazing dork. We get along so well that I'm not quite sure she is real and not just part of my imagination picturing her there. Hmmm. Could I be sitting at the bar laughing and carrying on only to have an empty barstool next to me? What could the people at the bar think? You tell me, is there really someone else in this photo with me?



Going to Heavy MTL on Sunday!!! Won tickets through my favorite bar in Montreal! Looks like this punk rocker is going to have to put on a good METAL face and survive as best as he can.

Got to see Strung Out a few weeks ago and completely fell in love with one of the opening acts from Quebec, MUTE! These guys are fucking amazing live and make me miss being on stage so badly. I picked up the bass the other night and just started going through my old covers... a little "Justified Black Eye", "Mr. Clean", "Linoleum", "Dammit", "Stand By Me"... felt so good to just rock the fuck out, even if it was acoustic in my office.

In sad news, one of my all time favorite songwriters/singers/musicians passed away recently. Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. I remember many years ago having drinks with Tony and Rory at the FBI in Orlando. Such nice guys. 6 months later, I was at another show for NUFAN and Mad Caddies, and Tony saw me at the merch table and yelled out my name. One of the nicest guys in the world. I'm going to end the blog simply with an image and a thank you. You always have and always will inspire so many people Tony. You are truly missed.
