Children's Hour
Or, Other Voices from Other Stories

Never trust , but never doubt
To never show what you're about-
Never seek in others' eyes
The proof you're not one to despise.
We live and dream all quite alone:
Our hearts are dark, and best unknown.

thanks bunches. biggrin

Not to Any of You, Actually

You'd think I 'd know the way to town-
But you never wrote it down
And you pissed upon my maps
And dropped me down on snares and traps.
So you'll forgive my grayish air-
It's not as if I just don't care
But this game you have designed
Is one one wins when one's resigned.

No Facebook for me.

It's nice to think of all the things I could safely say here.

... and still don't.

You know... I'm only still here because of people. And if you're reading this, that means you.

I've been up a bit over 36 hours now. About 4/5ths of those have been work.
But it's over, for now.

I've definitely plateaued. I think I'll be up awhile yet, actually.

At a bare minimum, I'll be at work until 12:30, tomorrow morning. I leave in about an hour.
This is going to be a long day, figuratively.

And, I suppose, literally as well.

Wow...Amazon was fast. Thanks! Looking forward to it. I've only got a couple of nights left with the Manual of the Planes, too, so great timing.

Yours shipped Tuesday with 3-9 business day delivery.

Enjoy your long workday. Hopefully you get paid by the hour or get to use the extra as comp time.
gemi:

Poodle Springs Eternal

Introduction...

The last bullet missed, just like all the others had. From your point of view, you'd think that's a foregone conclusion. Or would be, once I got to that point. But there are plenty of things you don't know... yet.

I think you would really like the Ruby series from ZBS.org. Or possibly their Jack Flanders series. They are great for commutes and travel, but even better if you can relax with headphones or surround sound. If interested in Ruby episode one, PM me your address.

I asked myself a question
"Self, how would you question me?
For knowing my own answer,
There is no point, you see."
...and my self was silent-
I took him to agree.
