Ok, enough sappiness for now.
I have a catch phrase.
A good few years back, last day of undergraduate for everyone but me (I actually stayed the summer for a research project, doing programming for analysis of data to try to prove other stars had sun spots, just like our sun... that probably dates me). All of the hallmates were gathered around moving stuff out, saying our goodbyes.
There were four of us, that were kind of like the A-Team. (Yeah, I was Murdoch.) Anyway, Face was a Japanese major, and he offered to teach each of us one Japanese phrase, kind of as a parting gift.
So, what did I choose?
"Hai bananagai motenai."
Which, as I understand it, is "Yes, we have no bananas."
Which, these days, you'll catch me muttering under my breath... a lot.
