Friday night's my time to sit
And stop, and think a little bit
One more week is in the book
(Sadly one I can not cook-
Life's accounting has me cold
And bit by bit will make me old.)
One more week has met its end-
One more weekend has beginned.
It's not so bad as patterns go,
Although in truth I'd rather slow
It down, and share a cup of tea
(Or if I'm lucky, two or three )
With someone with a pleasant voice
Who seeks me out by her own choice...
But meanwhile, there are things to see
And I'll just keep on being me.

Fridays are my favorite for quiet evenings. I rarely feel like going out on a Friday, although sometimes I do.
