Hey... do any of you understand how eyesight is measured? (I may just have to buckle down and do the research...)
Reason why I ask is that I am considering getting my eyesight surgically corrected (just my right eye, I think), and I want to be able to ask some major questions of the prospective doctors that would do the work-
How do you determine a goal for a patient's vision with this procedure?
How many patients have you done this same procedure on?
(and this is where the measuring part comes in)
How many of those patients fell outside of within 5% of their goal? Of within 10%?
Tentatively, I am looking at what's called a "surface" treatment- slower to heal (3-5 days) but safer in that it's less likely to have problems later on.
I'm not in a rush... but I think this will be the year.
