The day started out well enough.



But then...

I received an offer of marriage.



I declined.

It was a mutually beneficial nonexclusive relationship. I thought that we could continue as before.



Nope.



I wouldn't do anything differently but I feel very badly that I've caused so much upset and anger.

It's dark and rainy and not a suitable day for a hike.

Thank goodness for this.
