The day began poorly. I was supposed to drive in to Queens with my friends and attend a gala graduation celebration. Their nephew just completed his final two years of study abroad in Australia, the lucky bastard! I also had plans to make my way into Manhattan at some point to attend a second celebration. It didnt happen.

I woke up late, moved too slowly and got myself involved in a minor disagreement with an annoying neighbor. I was too late to catch my ride. Damn.



Things quickly changed for the better when I got a phone call from someone I hadnt seen or heard from in a couple of years. We were very close at one time but drifted apart and went our separate ways. We both moved and changed phone numbers and email addresses. Several times.

She came by, we picked up some food and drink, drove to a secluded spot and had a wonderful afternoon. It was great to see her again.
