Sittin' here this morning, feeling a bit o' the blues.

Its a cold, dark, rainy day and I woke up with a major ache in my spine. I hoped that Id escaped unscathed from that silly little wind driven jump off the porch the other day. I guess not.

Today I'm feeling old. I've been here on this earth for over 20,000 days. I can't remember every one of them, but they're all a part of what Ive become.

Getting older is not a bad thing; if nothing else, it sure beats the alternative. I'm a lot more comfortable with myself than I used to be. I actually think that I've gained some perspective and wisdom along the way. There are so many wonderful memories.

Right now, I'm gonna sit myself down and get lost in some Chicago style blues. Perhaps some Johnny Clyde Copeland or, his mentor, Albert Collins. Maybe even some tracks from Debbie Davies, the "child" of them both.

I'll be feeling good again, in no time at all. And tomorrow, I'll be as young as I feel.

My back is better and the Sun is shining.
I'm going out to tilt at some windmills...
