So I'm out of work.

In 8 weeks, I'm out of work. For now, I still have a job...sort of. I just dont go to the office to do it.
All this because I told them that trying to take away a vacation I had planned for 6 months away because they hadnt planned on the scam they were running on another company to fail, requiring a complete site update was a bit....well...shitty.
I wanted to say, "Fucked up."
But the mental filter I have that usually doesnt work kicked in this time, and I said it was "A pretty shitty thing to do to someone."
I was blasted for my "Negativity" and told I wasnt "team oriented" and "didnt care about the company". I said, "No....thats not it. The fact is, you guys KNEW this might not work, and rather than spending these last few months preparing for 'what if?' you waited until the last minute and now you want to screw me over, screw my family over, and screw over my new fiancee. Thats pretty shitty. Is one of you going to call my fiancee and explain why we wont be in North Carolina for our engagement dinner? Because I have to work because you guys screwed up?"
The matter was dropped. They relented, and basically explained to me that I would set aside at least 4 hours a day to work if needed, while I was on vacation. Or lose my job.
So, like I'm known to do, I shut up, did what I had to do and tried to keep peace.
Little did I know that behind the scenes, THEY were hard at work. Hiring a replacement.
All because of my negativity.
