In the end my birthday was pretty good, all things considered. I got birthday wishes from loads of folks, many of whom I hadnt heard from in ages. Its a silly thing, those two words, "Happy Birthday", but to be honest, when you hear them from so many, they make you feel pretty good. Each time someone said it via email, text, Facebook / MySpace or what have you, it brought a smile to my face.

Last night was pretty calm and relaxed. Uneventful, if you will. Had a few beers and caught up on some ActionScript studying I have been putting off. Sure, it wasnt my original plan for the night, but those of you who know me know that I like the world one of two ways, either very Metal/Punk (loud, brash, hectic and unpredictable) or very Zen (calm, quiet and relaxed). I get bored with anything in between. So planned or unplanned, the calm and quiet felt good.

And the bi-polar Lesbian suggested I get an AARP card....which is still making me laugh.

As for my love life, funny how days like birthdays teach you so much, no? I mean, I can pretty well guess how important I am by the fact that I neither saw her (an impromptu trip to NYC with her friends was more important) or even heard from her all day.

Back to the drawing board.
