There's this really great article in the new issue of Best Life magazine about Chernobyl, the nuclear disaster, and the way that nature is reclaiming her own.
Its wild how, even at our most disastrous, we still cant beat the power of the natural world to come back and thrive. There, at the seat of the greatest nuclear disaster in history, plants are growing, animals are moving back in, Mama Naturale is claiming ownership. Even in the areas that are uninhabitable by humankind.
Its funny, we like to run around railing about "protecting the environment", but thats a misnomer. The environment doesn't need protecting, it'll change, adapt, reclaim and carry on just like it always has.
Its US we need to worry about.
Because, long after we have made this planet poison to ourselves, Nature will still go on.
She's powerful like that.
