The more I learn about people the less I actually understand them. Id imagine this is supposed to peeve me, but it just interests me even more. More on that in my next post.
Friday was great....although it drew a slightly smaller crowd, Mayhemfest was ten times the show Ozzfest used to be. Did see all the bands, as I was working the crowd as a volunteer for Roadrunner Records....I must have been a sight in a Slipknot clown mask, wandering through the crowd with a picket sign reading "All Hope Is Lost!" (new Slipknot CD title) It was all in good fun though, and watching drunken folks bounce around in the heat is always a treat.
I had a twenty minute conversation with one young drunken lady about why she couldnt have one of the balls from one of my earrings. She was adamant about having it, and I just grinned and said "no.....but its MINE." . "But I need it because I lost mine!" she would wine. I think in her drunken haze, she thought I was one of her friends. Once I found her real friends I left them to care for her.
Why I feel the need to help these strangers out when their good time has gone too far, I dont know. Maybe I hope that fate will deliver someone to help me out when I'm in that situation. Even if I rarely if ever am.
I'll post a picture or two when I get them off of the camera.
