Have you ever noticed how war vets either talk about their war all the time or not at all? Its like some had the time of their lives. Big toys. Lots of stories. Comradeship. When we are in war it seems that we men feel really alive. Its so fucked up.
The ones that are totally silent about it are the ones that I suspect realise that what they did was wrong. Perhaps they realise how precious their relationships are and selfish it is to risk death.
There is no honor in death. It is a made up thing, like medals.
