I also usually go to "friends stuff" make a comment or two... I figure if they aren't updating their journal, they aren't online..

then I go to groups.... sgmc, sgla, dangerous curves, sglgbt, I so rarely go to the boards, most people seem to ignore all but the old skool peeps, or rag on the n00bs..

I was lucky as a noob, I managed to keep my foot outta me mouth and got voted n00b of the week, but since then, rarely a omment of mine is noticed...or worse.... the thread dies.
... I lack the self esteem to endure a lot of thread killing posts..

I like to stay in the groups because it tends to nurture online relationships more readily...

Your question was not redundant. Mortuary science is just for mortuary use... ie: arranging funerals, there are several laws and regulations, that part teaches you about all the different religions and what is appropriate and what is expected. Then you also learn how to embalm and creamate. If you do not know someone in the business that would help you get into the business then it may not be worth it for you to do at this time because it is time consuming because you have to finish the school about 2 years give or take... then you have to go take the state board when you pass that you have to find a funeral home that will hire you on an apprenticeship, you have to then enbalm 100 bodies before your licence is given to you by the state board. This process can take about a year. It is hard to find a mortuary that will hire you for the apprentoceship because they have to have a licenced enbalmer supervise you during that time. So as most of the funeral homes are corporately owned, they are into dollars and cents and they have to pay 2 people (you and the supervising party) for the price of one.

Forencis Science- This will enable you to work more with the police and sherriff's departments. Kinda like CSI. You could work as a crime scene tech., or as a forensic tech. Basiclly it is about the collecting of evidence to understand the details of someones death. ie: learning to read blood splattering from a gun shot wound. or the body possitioning.

So one is fixing up the dead, and the other is understanding how they died.

Oh I am sorry! it's bad enough to lose a loved pet without it being violent and horrible. I fear those people who don't stop... they're why this country is becoming more and more nasty and self-centered.
