Life is as busy as it gets... We've been gone every weekedn save for one since February...
I'm going to be home..in the sense that I'll be in the town I reside in, for the next 3 weekends...
"why gracie?" you may ask...
because I was elected, by default, to be the group mom for my girls ballet recital...
apparently they were desperate... anytime a group of yuppie, khaki wearing moms opt to elect moi... tattoed, pierced, loud and irrevant...oh, and afflicted with the oh so charming ADD status.. you just KNOW it's a thankless job.
no one else would do it.
wanna know just HOW they convinced me?
They told me the girls thought I was such a
"cool, fun mommy" and that after they saw how I handled two very updet little girls on picture day.. I would be perfect for the job...
Now, I am glad that a group of 11 six year old ballerina's think I'm cool... cause uh... not everyone thinks I am...
but the funny part... I'm just going to beleive that these ultra christian, afraid of me most days, SUV driving really do
BELIEVE that I am GREAT with their kids and that yes, I am a great parent...
because while I'm pretty sure they don't think it... I am a great mom...
I'll show them just how EASY the task will be...
yeah... I'm nearly convinced about that easy task part too.
as for the great mom part... I have proof!
see how content and charming my daughter is?

I just, for the FIRST time noticed that little tab on the right of my journal... ya know, the "testimonials" tab...
yeah... curiosity struck me...I hit it.

I love your family photo! So cute! Sorry to hear you got sunburned. As for being and "adult" about that situation...i would have been vindictive so long ago, it's not funny. But then i'm all mean and nasty like that when i've been wronged all over. Her life is completely in the shits though, if it makes you feel better about it. I do. (feel better, i mean.) What goes around, comes around, ya know?.
Dont worry about missing Ren Faire. Everyone did. Even me...it was about 100 degrees that day, and i wasn't leaving the AC available in the house. We'll plan again for next year.
