well... today is gonna be a tough one....

once again...I'm trying to quit smoking...

I'm just hoping that this will be the one...the final attempt to try and just make it happen...

I've done this before...several times...folks say that every time you quit...and pick up brings you closer to quitting for good.

Please...whatever power is out there in the universe...please give me the resolve to succeed this time!!

again...for me..I'm listing all the reasons why I want to quit...

My Daughter, missA wants a smoke free mommy... she DESERVES to have a smoke free mommy

I want my daughter to recall the smell of my perfume..and think of me, rather than smell cigarettes...and think of me.

I want to live long enough to see her kids
I want to smell good, and I want folks to tell me so.
I want to breathe freely.
I want to be good to my body, I deserve it.
I want to be able to REALLY taste food, REALLY smell the flowers, the scent of my daughter after her bath...
I want my husband to REALLY love the way I smell, to be able to smell the natural scent of my skin..
I don't want any more wrinkles around my mouth
I want my teeth to be crisp and white..

I can do this. I can be a non-smoker...

You're on the right track ... saying you aren't a smoker is the first real step in not smoking.

I've been smoking for 10 years now and while it disgusts me ... I can't say I've ever really TRIED to quit. Mostly 'cause I'm a social smoker ... I don't smoke unless I am with friends that are smoking.

But it still bothers me ... pretty much for all the reasons you listed ... other than the husband one ... and the wrinkles and white teeth dealy.

Oh - and the part about the daughter. I don't have one of those. LOL

and just remember, as cheesy as it is. you don't have to go into every day saying you'll never smoke again. just know you're not going to smoke "right now." it's much easier, imho.
