off to the lake yet again...
weather forcast says to expect scattered thunderstorms, 30% chance of rain, temps in the 110's and low 90's...
perfect desert weather as far as I'm concerned...
oh how I love rain in the desert....the small of sagebrush just after it begins to rain...winds whipping out from nowhere..
monsoon season is my favorite time to be in the desert...on the boat sitting in the lake or on the porch of the house...
it will be a great weekend...

Dark dark thunderstorms in the prairies were amazing when i was a kid. The sun might be going down, there may be a wheat field to the east, glowing gold. Above it is the black of the storm clouds and some of the most amazing lightning I've ever seen.
I loved that smell.
