This week sucked.....
Friday night my dog Emma was hit by a car and killed....
I did not find out until Saturday morning..
this sucks doubly bad because this is the second dog I've lost in 30 days...
Kate passed away, silently, peacefully and with dignity with all three of us with her as she went..
Emma died violently and tragically by some idiot who never stopped....As my husband found her, three more cars hit her before he could run out and rescue her...
He was home alone with my daughter and she was behind him so he was helpless to get the cars to stop so he could help her....Thankfully, my daughter was unaware of the events occuring...
What I cannot reconcile with are the number of people who can hit a dog and continue on with nary a slowing of their vehicles....where the hell does anyone need to go so quickly and without a thought that they cannot be humane enough to slow their vehicles down?
WTF is wrong with people? Don't they have a clue that such a beautiful animal is loved and adored by someone...
It sickens me to no end...

So sorry about your loss. The loss of compassion, respect and humanity in our society is why so many of us spend less and less time with other humans. It really sucks ass that most days there are many of us who are embarassed to be part of the human race. Big hugs to you and yours!

Oh I am sorry! it's bad enough to lose a loved pet without it being violent and horrible. I fear those people who don't stop... they're why this country is becoming more and more nasty and self-centered.
