Yesterday was a lot of fun! It ended up just being a friend from work and me. He'd never been to Atlantic City before and I'd never taken the Cape May-Lewes Ferry before, so we took the ferry across to NJ and headed to the convention.
The ferry was SO cool. It felt like being on the Titanic. Not in the aaaaaah we're going under, way...but in the pretty lounges, bars and sundecks everywhere kind of way.
Chen got his ear pierced. It looks pretty good. I didn't get anything done, myself but would have loved to.
The best part was getting to meet a few SGs. Twwly, James, and Alexis. Palo arrived later, but I didn't get to talk to her. They were all so sweet. Pretty humbling meeting them in person.
They signed my book and took a couple pictures holding a sign I'd made for Mike at his request. I was so grateful! He's going to love it. (He still doesn't know what the sign says)
After the convention we ate at Tun's Tavern where we were able to get our parking validated. *sweet* Chen began asking random people to hold up Mike's sign. He reaaaaaaaally wanted to get mileage out of it since I went to the trouble. Turned out that it was a great idea and we got a couple more random folks to hold up a sign that reads "Mike Rocks" hehe...
What a great day.
Sucks that I have to leave for work in an hour. agh.
***Twwly, James, Alexis: Mike asked me to thank the girls that took the pictures for him. He said he'd thank you all personally if he were able to. I wish you could have heard how happy he sounded when I told him how great you were about it. I really can't thank you all enough.***
