Brought my car into the VW dealer to finally fix the thing and get passed inspection.
Turns out it wasn't the computer :yay: but it was the catalytic converter, timing belt, tensioner and a clogged throttle. :notsoyay:
VW estimated, in parts alone, the cost of 1100 dollars. *swallows tongue* Fortunately the guy behind the counter was a sweety and pointed me in the direction of Meineke.
Meineke doesn't do timing blets or tensioners but they gave me a quote for the catalytic converter and a whole new exhaust (which they pointed out was needed by the large amounts of rust holding it together) plus the throttle cleaning for about 675. w00t.
They finished up, cleared the codes and then blip! there was that goddamned check engine light again.
Grrrrrr. Turns out I need a coil or something, too.
So now I have to go back to VW and get them to fix the the rest of the car junk.
Plus I still have to shell out the clams for the title transfer and registration once it finally passes inspection. Chroist!
blah.
Went to the doctor today for a check up. First time with this new guy in DE. I finally decided to ask someone about the puffiness and coloration under my eyes. I looked it up on the net and read that it's an unavoidable side effect to the asthma meds so I never bothered with doctors. Most places I asked suggested topical creams or make up, both of which did nothing.
Anyhoo...I ask this dude what's up and he says....
"Oh, it must be allergies or clogged sinuses. I'll prescribe you some nose drops."
All this fucking time dealing with that crap and all I had to do was blow my nose better. Great googly moogly.
