Classes have started! Yay! I only got ONE Intierior Design course this semester, (and it's one I'm retaking, so it would REALLY suck if I didn't have to retake it cuz I'd have NO ID classes and not enough units to get my loan...)
On the up side I'm taking a really interesting course on Native Americans and US laws. It's funny because when I walked into that class the first day I thought I recognized my professor from somewhere. As he started class he mentioned that he had a house in Joshua Tree and it hit me! I most certianly smoked a joint with him at a party in Joshua Tree while I was there shooting a set with Lorelei. Isn't that the funniest shit? I will mention it to him one day...
I've been working on a design for a competition in March. It's an asian inspired wool area rug. I was going to do an outdoor kitchen first, but then decided I hate designing kitchens and I like to draw pictures much more. So I went ahead and for a week straight labored over a nice area rug (I'm so picky and critical of myself that it takes me forever to do anything... I also used paint which takes longer) Finally I finished and got everything perfect. Then school starts and in my class the professor, who happens to be not only a judge but the chairmen of the competition, announces that he hates avacado green - the exact color I happen to love and chose for the design!
(...to be fair avacado green is coming back in a big way)
So I go home and decide I have to redo the whole thing in different colors - which also means new furniture fabric, new wool samples and a new presentation board to put together. I have to turn it in SOON, my professor said he was excited to see it (so I can't back out) and now the fucking art store ran out of the marker color I need and the cloud blue colored pencil doesn't match the cloud blue marker which I REALLY needed.... oh fuck fuck fuck...
OH by the way one of my favorite bands, The Organ, broke up and now I'm sad.
Whatever, I'll just go get drunk.
But here is one last tribute picture of the SUPER fucking hot lead singer, Katie, of my fav but now broken up band...
Mmmmmmmmmm!!! I want her to put my name on the scroll of her heart tattoo.....
