Breastfeeding problems (especially at night) most likely due to nipple confusion (caused by giving the baby expressed breastmilk in a bottle) & frustration problems (caused by a whiny 2-year-old + a newborn that fusses everytime she's put down) & marital problems (caused by a husband who "isn't enjoying parenthood" & can't seem to soothe his newborn daugher)...

Gabriel told me that he isn't enjoying parenthood. That's freaking fantastic. WTF am I supposed to do about that? I'm sorry he can't soothe the baby (because he only tries for a few minutes before giving up)...but what does he want from me? Simple. Stop breastfeeding & swap to formula. Nevermind all the wonderful benefits that breastfeeding afford both our newborn & myself, let's just do what makes HIS life easier...

I mentioned the marriage counseling to Gabe & he's unwilling.

I really feel sorry for Katana. She's not getting a chance to be the 2-year-old that she is. Both of her very frustrated parents are taking out their frustration on her. I have to go into the 3rd-person here, because I'm ashamed that I let myself do it. But, you try dealing with a whining fit over something that means nothing while breastfeeding or when you finally get the baby down for a nap after 8 hours of trying, just see how you react when your toddler screams or lies on the baby & wakes her right back up again. Goddamn it.
