I'm feeling pretty great. I'm having a good day so far. The baby's cord stump fell off this morning & she's doing great. Breastfeeding like a champ & sleeping well (a lot). Katana's adjusting & so are the new parents. Maybe everything will turn great for us. I'm hoping. I finally got all the paperwork filled out for the birth certificate, social security card, medicaid, & our food stamp application. I also got our 2 phone bills paid today. That only leaves the power bill for this month & despite all the work Gabriel missed during the past 2 weeks, we have plenty of money to cover our bills. I guess I'm good at managing money when I have to. I plan to contact the lawfirm about the bankruptcy within the next week or 2. I've been working lately on the baby book for Kagome & I'm working on online versions of the baby books for both my girls. When I'm done, I'll send you the links. I called & set up Kagome's first doctor's appointment today & it will take place on August 29th (the typical 2 week check-up). I also called my OBGYN to set up the follow-up appointment for myself, but the crazy receptionist didn't know how to handle my homebirth situation, so they didn't set anything up yet. They're supposed to call me back, but they haven't yet. I also asked them to get Dr. Allen to call me in some more pain medicine (Oxycodone), so maybe he will. I'm getting low on my supply & still having some pain in the vaginal area. Oh well, that's normal.
