Still preparing for baby's arrival...Today I filled out baby shower invitations & envelopes, but I still need more stamps before I can send them out. I have a grocery list that needs to be filled, but it's up to Gabriel whether we'll go shopping this evening or some time tomorrow.
His birthday is today & I bought him 2 Dragon Ball Z Episode Tapes & a belt. He seemed to like them.
I still need to get the crockpot from his mom's house for hot compresses during labor. And I have to find an extra sheet for our bed, in case I decide I want to labor in it or for after the birth.
I also have to call the spa where I have a gift certificate for a massage, but I haven't seemed to be able to find time to go get it yet.
I also paid 2 bills today, but I have to put some money in the bank before I can safely mail them out. Our power bill is way too high this month ($150), so we have got to do some conserving from now on. I know our water bill will be high for the month in which the waterbirth occurs, so we have to be prepared for that, too.
I'm feeling irritable lately. It doesn't seem to take much to set me off, so I am trying very hard to be as patient as I can with Katana's little tantrums. It's amazing how mad I can get after hearing her ask for a cookie 20 or 30 times in a row.
I feel bad about yelling at her "No cookie!", but I can only say it nicely so many times.
I think I might have convinced Gabriel to wait until tomorrow night to go out for his birthday, since we'll have a babysitter & I can go with him. I'm trying to be as sweet as possible to him & not nag him too much about anything, so he can see that I'm still making an effort for us to be happy. I hope it's working.
Well, I guess that's enough for now. I need to lie down or something. Maybe a bubble bath will help, but I doubt I'll get any peace while I'm in there because Katana will be begging for a bath the whole time...
